TransAtlantic is pleased to announce a joint venture with Turkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortakliği (TPAO) and U.S. oil producer Continental Resources to develop the unconventional resource fields in Turkey’s Diyarbakir Basin.
Continental Resources is the largest private oil and gas producer in the U.S. and is celebrating 58 years of operations in the year 2025. Continental is led by renowned industry trailblazer Harold Hamm, known for pioneering the shale oil revolution in the U.S.
Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), established in 1954, has been a pioneering force in Türkiye's energy sector, driving advancements in hydrocarbon exploration, production, and refining. With a legacy of over half a century, TPAO has played a key role in the nation's energy independence, executing projects with a focus on sustainability, local technology, and environmental responsibility. Today, TPAO continues to expand its global footprint, contributing to major international energy initiatives while solidifying its place in the global energy market.
This strategic partnership will enhance Türkiye's energy industry by utilizing the skills and operational abilities of all three companies. This collaboration brings technical expertise, cutting-edge technology, and a commitment to environmental responsibility.
